Expedition to Mt. Indrasan (6221 meter)

Team of Mt. Indrasan and Socio-Medical team of Institute of Exploration left for their destination on 16th August 2013 from Howrah Station. Please wish them good luck and success.

Expedition team members

Socio-Medical team will do a research work at Jagatsukh village near Manali. They also distribute Medicines and other materials to villagers and needy person.The captain of this team is Dr. Atal Kumar Hati and other members are Mr Arindam Sarkar, Miss Arati De, Subrata Naskar.

Expedition team is lead by Miss Mita Dhar the other members are Mr. Nabi Tarafdar, Mr Zia Ul Haque, Miss Ume Kulsum, Miss Seemasri Bannerjee.

It was mayhem at Netaji International Airport Kolkata when all 4 Everester of  Kolkata landed at around 6.00 PM. Every body from print media to electronic media fighting among themselves to take a gimps and photographs of all heroes. Normal passengers were curious and amazed to see huge crowds who gathered at 4 B Exit Gate of International terminal.

They supposed to land at 5.10 PM by Air India flight but flight was delayed due to bad weather and landed after 45 minutes.

The first person who came out from exit door was Mr Basant Singh Roy on a wheel chair followed by Inspector Ujjal Ray, Tusi and then Chhanda Gayen and Monideepa dutta.

 

 

It was hard time for officers on duty at Airport to manage huge crowds of media and spectators.

 

Durga Da , Anjan Da, Seema Di, Nabi, Ezaj, Abbas, Ravi, Prahlad, Sujit, Umme Anupam and myself all from "The Institute of Exploration" waiting with bouquet outside of arrival gate from 4.00 PM to see and welcome our beloved Chhanda along with other Everester.
